Wine Charms: Tutorial

Nautical Wine Charms
I am so happy with how well my nautical wine charms turned out!  Check out the tutorial…
What you’ll need:
  • Charms
  • Pliers
  • Beads
  • Hoop Earrings (see pictures)
  • Card Stock Paper
  • Scissors
  • Hole Punch
I started off by taking my hoop earrings and checking out the easiest way to slip the beads on and made sure the size beads I bought would fit on the hoops.  I used my pliers to bend the metal in order to be able to slip the beads on.
For these specific charms, I added 3 blue beads, then I added the charm.  After adding the charm, I slipped 3 more blue beads on to the hoop.  I then used the pliers to bend the metal back to its original shape.  You can play around with the design and go as complex as you want–mix it up with colors and bead designs or multiple charms if you’d like.  Work with anything you have and get creative!
Once you are completed with the wine charms, it’s time to work on the presentation.  Eventually i’d like to come up with better packaging for these charms but since I didn’t have a lot of time or materials to work with, I used card stock paper and a hole puncher.
I started off cutting a piece of card stock to the desired size.  After cutting, I eyeballed where the charms would go on the paper and started hole punching enough holes on the paper for my 6 wine charms to fit.
This project is so simple and you can add your own twist to them!  If you have any comments or questions, dont hesitate to ask!  I hope you have as much fun making these as I did.
