Peanut Butter Protein Cookies
The perfect post-workout treat, care-package snack or dessert alternative
These peanut butter protein cookies are so easy to make and can be prepared and baked in just 15 minutes! I sent a batch of these cookies to my deployed friend in his first care package, along with a few issues of Men’s Health and Food Network magazine.
- 1 Cup of Peanut Butter
- 4 Tbsp of Protein Powder (I used Vanilla)
- 1 Egg
- 1 Tsp of Cinnamon
- 1 Tsp of Vanilla
Preheat oven to 350. Spray a cookie sheet with oil and mix all ingredients together. Form into balls and flatten out on a cookie sheet.
Take a fork and make a criss-cross pattern on the dough. Bake for 10 minutes.
Take out of the oven and let cool. The dough will feel soft when it first comes out of the oven but it will become firm the longer it sits.
To add a little personalization to the re-purposed take out box I spray painted a thin wooden anchor (Thank you, Michaels) and hot glued it to the box.
My friend was so appreciative and could not stop eating them!
