Nashville Packing List

June 11, 2015

When I travel, I like to fully immerse myself in the culture and fashion of wherever I am going.  Nashville was probably the easiest packing I’ve done.  To complete my Nashville look, all I really needed to purchase was a pair of cowboy boots and a cowboy hat.  Yee-Haw!

Choose my Cowboy or Cowgirl packing list below and print out when planning your next trip to Music City, USA!

Make sure that the outfit you are traveling in is comfortable, but try not to look like you just rolled out of bed.  When picking out my airport outfits, I choose the bulkiest shoes and clothes that I plan on bringing and wearing on my trip- that way I can save some space in my luggage.  For Nashville, I wore my cowboy boots (which otherwise would have taken up half of my carry-on), cowboy hat, a Free People tank, and tied a plaid shirt around my waist in case I got chilly on the plane. (Purse: Kate Spade New York)

For a laid-back and comfortable look for a rainy night, throw on your Airport outfit and add a chunky necklace and heeled booties to dress it up.

When walking around sightseeing, I like to keep it simple and comfortable.  If you want to wear a t-shirt and jeans, opt for a piece of jewelry to dress up the tee.  This outfit can go from day-tripping to honky-tonkin. Going Out

Look One:

A versatile dress like this one by Astr (, $68) is perfect for a night out dancing at your favorite bars on Lower Broadway.  I loved this dress so much, I bought both patterns!  Dress it up with a cute wedge and a blazer or kimono.  (Boots: Target, $40-Sold Out)

Look Two:

A crop top is an essential for your Nashville trip (just take it easy on the BBQ the day you wear it).  I am loving this Topshop fringe crop top .  Just pull on your favorite denim shorts and a funky necklace and you’re good to go.  If you’re not sure if you can pull off a crop top, opt for a high waisted pair of denim or a high waisted skirt to offset the length. (Top: Topshop, $48, Necklace: Nordstrom, $22)

Look Three:

I have a love-hate relationship with rompers.  Sure rompers can be a pain, (try wearing one when you’re pounding down beers and peeing every 5 minutes) but how cute are they?!  I chose this paisley lace romper from Akira, $60 and wore it with a white bandeau and a handmade crocheted necklace.

If you’re still struggling on what to pack, grab the basic threads and when all else fails, add accessories!
